About the event
The objective of the hearing is to establish which properties will be included in the special assessment district. This hearing will NOT determine the financial share of any future assessments/apportionments. Properties that have deeded or dedicated access to Houghton Lake will be included in the special assessment district. This assessment is intended to finance critical improvements to the Houghton Lake dam and the future maintenance of the legal level of the lake.
