Houghton Lake Advisory Board
The Houghton Lake Advisory Board provides input to the Delegated Authority with respect to the maintenance of Houghton Lake’s legal lake level. The Advisory Board has the following functions:

Provides a pulse on the sentiment and opinions of property owners in the Houghton Lake – Lake Level Special Assessment District (SAD)

Brings a broad set of leadership experience and knowledge of related subject matter

Reviews lake level and engineering studies and alternatives

Makes recommendations and offers opinions on lake level-related projects to the Delegated Authority
-
Acts in an advisory capacity (does not have any formal statutory or decision-making power) and is therefore not subject to the Open Meetings Act requirements
