Lake St. Helen Public Meeting - Lake Level Special Assessment Methodology

• Roscommon County is in the process of creating a special assessment methodology for parcels in the Lake St. Helen – Lake Level Special Assessment District
• The special assessment district boundaries were set by the Roscommon County Circuit Court in December 2023
• An interactive map of the special assessment district boundaries is available here.
• The special assessment methodology will be used to allocate costs related to maintaining Lake St. Helen at its legally established level
• Your property is included within the special assessment district boundaries and may be subject to an assessment
• A lake level special assessment is an annual cost that appears on a property owner’s winter property taxes
